Places to visit in Port Macquarie
Port Macquarie's Historical Museum
Here you will get to learn all about the history of convicts as well as aboriginals. You will also be able to walk down a street of shops and take in a display of beautiful old clothes.
Visit the Wauchope Farmers' Market and fill your baskets with fresh and locally grown produce. It is open every fourth Saturday of each month.
Historic Roto House is a splendidly protected late-Victorian weatherboard villa. Surveyor John Flynn constructed it back in 1891 and it was occupied until 1979.
Billabong Zoo Koala & Wildlife Park

Step inside one of Australia's oldest functioning churches built by convicts in 1824. It still has its original crenulated tower and box pews that mimic the Norman churches of Southern England.
If you are compiling a list of things to do in Port Macquarie, then make sure the Bago maze is on there. It is made from Lilly Pilly rainforest trees and more than two kilometres of complex pathways. And if you find it hard, you can climb one of the two lookout towers to help you unravel the maze.
Livvi's Place
Livvi's Place is a water playground at Westport Park with swings, a carousel, tree house, water play, and nature play just on the banks of Hastings River.
Watch several bird species in their habitat at a 50 hectares piece of wetland and bush. There are walking trails and wheelchair accessible boardwalks that pass through Casuarinas forest and mangroves.
